Stocks are getting hammered. More than $2 trillion erased from the U.S. stock market in a single day as the S&P 500 slid 2.6%. Crypto is under pressure too. Bitcoin dropped below $60,000, wiping out over $130 billion across the digital asset market. Gold wasn't spared, falling 4% on the day. Tech led the selloff, with the Nasdaq-100 down 4.8% and the Nasdaq dropping 4.2%. Semiconductor stocks were hit especially hard, losing roughly $1 trillion in market value as the PHLX Semiconductor Index plunged more than 10%. A brutal day across every major asset class.
