#新手成长营 【Spot Trading】 Special Topic 📘【How are Spot & Leverage Fees Calculated? Understand in One Article】 Many traders often wonder👇 👉 Why does the quantity decrease after the trade? 👉 How exactly are fees deducted? 👉 Why can placing an order still earn fee rebates? This article explains it all at once👇 🧠 1. Spot / Leverage Fee Calculation Rules ▪ Calculation Formula Spot / Leverage Trading Fee = Fee Rate × Quantity of the coin bought or sold at the time of the trade ▪ Charging Rules • When buying: Fees are charged based on the quantity of the coin bought • After enabling “Pay fees with quote currency”: Fees are charged based on the trade amount in the quote currency 📊 2. Fee Calculation Examples ▪ Example 1: Regular Buy (Taker) Assuming: • BTC/USDT market price: 20,000 USDT • Buy: 1 BTC • Taker fee rate: 0.1% Fee = 0.1% × 1 BTC = 0.001 BTC 📌 Actual amount received after trade: 0.999 BTC ▪ Example 2: Paying Fees with Quote Currency Assuming: • BTC/USDT market price: 20,000 USDT • Buy: 1 BTC • Enabled paying fees with quote currency • Taker fee rate: 0.1% Fee = 0.1% × 20,000 = 20 USDT 📌 Amount received after trade: 1 BTC ▪ Example 3: Sell BTC (Maker) Assuming: • Sell: 1 BTC • Trade amount: 20,000 USDT • Maker fee rate: 0.08% Fee = 0.08% × 20,000 = 16 USDT 📌 Actual amount received after trade: 19,984 USDT 💰 3. Negative Maker Fee Rebate Rules In some cases👇 👉 Placing an order not only costs no fees 👉 But also rebates fees ▪ Calculation Formula Fee Rebate = Fee Rate × Trade Quantity 📊 4. Fee Rebate Examples ▪ Example 1: Sell BTC and get rebate Assuming: • BTC/USDT market price: 20,000 USDT • Sell: 1 BTC • Maker fee rate: -0.002% Fee rebate = 0.002% × 1 BTC = 0.00002 BTC ▪ Example 2: Buy BTC and get rebate Assuming: • BTC/USDT market price: 20,000 USDT • Buy: 1 BTC • Maker fee rate: -0.002% Fee rebate = 0.002% × 20,000 USDT = 0.4 USDT ⚠️ 5. Friendly Reminders • No fees on canceled or unfilled orders • Fee tiers usually update daily • After enabling paying fees with quote currency → Spot trading fees will be paid using the quote currency 📌 Summary in one sentence 👉 Taker = Usually pay fees 👉 Maker = Lower fees, may even get rebates

#新手成长营 [Spot Trading] Topic 🙋🏻 ♀️🙋🏻 ♂️ Spot trading also has its own [leverage] 📌 Next: A Complete Guide to Spot Leverage (Part II)|Leverage, Margin, Risk Control [Spot leverage will also liquidate?] Gear, deposit, and forced drawing are all explained] In the first part, we talked about the underlying logic of borrowing and repaying coins, and in the next part, we focused on practical operation and risk control - this part is the key 👇 that really determines whether you can live or not 📐 Leverage gradient gear rules The three parameters of each currency and tier are different: 🔸 Maximum borrowable amount 🔸 Maximum available leverage multiple 🔸 Maintenance margin rate ⚠️ A counterintuitive point: the higher the leverage, the smaller the borrowing limit. Therefore, when you have more funds available, if you choose a larger leverage multiple, the maximum borrowable amount may be less than the borrowing amount at a lower multiple. 📌 Important reminder: Contracts support up to 100x, spot leverage up to 10x. ⚙️ How to adjust the leverage multiplier? 🔸 Adjust before opening a position: Turn on the [Leverage] switch on the trading page →→ Click on the multiplier after clicking on the position mode → Select → OK 🔸 Adjust after opening a position: Position bar → Click on the leverage icon below the trading pair → Select → OK Conditions for increasing leverage: Adjusted multiplier < Maximum leverage multiplier of the current number of shares → successful 👉 After the adjustment, the margin required to open a position is reduced and the number of open positions increases Conditions for reducing leverage: There is enough available balance in the account to be added to the account 👉 The margin required for holding a position will increase and the number of open spaces will decrease ⚠️ Note: 1️⃣ Leverage is increased ≠ Profits and losses are magnified in equal proportions, depending on the actual number of coins held 2️⃣ Adjustments take effect immediately; The adjustment is usually due to the fact that there are pending orders (including take-profit, stop-loss, and limit orders) that have not been withdrawn, and can be adjusted after the order is canceled 3️⃣ If the balance is insufficient, the leverage cannot be lowered, and additional leverage must be added first ⚖️ Cross margin vs isolated margin Cross margin: All positions share margin, and profits and losses are offset ✅ Advantages: Effectively reduce the risk of liquidation ⚠️ Disadvantages: You may lose all your positions during liquidation Isolated margin: The margin of each position is calculated independently with profit and loss ✅ Advantages: Only the current position is lost during liquidation ⚠️ Disadvantages: Cannot hedge with profits from other positions Beginners are advised to start with isolated positions and lock the risk in a single trade. This also applies to contracts! ➕ How to add margin? 📥 Isolated Margin Mode (Flexible Operation): Position / Asset Bar → Click the [➕] button after margin 🔹 10%–100% of the trading account funds can be added · 🔹 The more margin → the farther the liquidation price → the lower the risk 🔹 The maximum increase or decrease quota is subject to the page display 📥 Cross margin mode (no additional button): 🔹 Cross margin on futures = Use the entire value of a currency as margin 👉 Transfer the currency directly to the [Trading Account], and the cross margin will be automatically added, and the margin rate will be increased 📥 Cross-Currency Margin Cross Margin (Special Rules): Orders are not displayed under [Positions], and there is no additional button 👉 In this mode, the value of all currencies is equivalent to USD 👉 Transfer to the [Trading Account] in any or more currencies and the opening margin will be automatically added 🚨 There are two red lines for risk control, which must be remembered The higher the leverage and the larger the borrowing volume→ the easier it is to trigger risk control 🔹 Margin ratio < 300% → The system issues a position reduction warning, reminding you to pay attention to the risk of reducing positions 🔹 Margin Rate ≤ 100% → The system executes position reduction or liquidation based on the balance sheet 📌 It's time to take action when you see a 300% warning, don't wait until 100%. 🛒 A high-frequency question: have money in the account but can't sell it? Many people find that they can only sell part of the assets in their leveraged accounts for two reasons: (1) Limit Rule In margin trading, the estimated transaction price of the sell cannot be less than 95% of the bid price. Below this floor price, the order is capped or canceled – preventing abnormal volatility. (2) Excessive leverage The maximum borrowable amount is limited by the position level, and the higher the leverage, the less you can borrow. Even if the assets in the account appear to be "available", the actual selling volume will be stuck by the upper limit of the gear. 💬 Next summary & full text summary Together, the two are worth remembering 5 things: 1️⃣ Borrowing relies on a simple earning pool, and if you can't borrow, the pool may be empty or the risk pool is full 2️⃣ Interest is calculated on the hour and paid off within 10 minutes without interest 3️⃣ 100% Close ≠ Position is cleared, and liabilities and interest are paid off 4️⃣ The higher the leverage, the smaller the borrowing limit, not the more aggressive and free 5️⃣ The margin rate of 300% is the warning line, and 100% is the line of life and death

#新手成长营 【Spot Trading】 Special Topic 🙋🏻‍♂️ Spot trading also has its own 【leverage】 📌 Previous article: Complete Guide to Spot Leverage (Part 1) | Borrowing Coins · Interest · Repayment 【How does spot leverage work? A thorough explanation of borrowing and repaying coins】 In the community, we are often asked: "How exactly does spot leverage work? Where do the borrowed coins come from? How is interest calculated?" — These are essential basics to understand first. Today, we split it into two parts, starting with the underlying mechanism 👇 🔑 Understand spot leverage in one sentence Use the assets in your account as collateral to borrow coins from the platform for two-way trading, with up to 10x leverage. Profits are magnified tenfold, and losses are magnified tenfold as well. ✅ Spot mode, contract mode, cross-currency margin, portfolio margin — leverage is available under all account modes, supporting both isolated and cross margin methods. 💰 Where do the borrowed coins come from? — Market Borrowing Pool The platform’s borrowing pool comes from the flexible deposits in Simple Earn (idle coins deposited by other users). How much you can borrow depends on the lowest of these three: 🔹 Your current user level’s borrowing limit 🔹 The position tier limit for that coin 🔹 The total limit of the Simple Earn fund pool ⚠️ Therefore, there are two "unable to borrow" scenarios: 1️⃣ Insufficient Simple Earn deposits 2️⃣ Too many borrowing users — risk pool limit triggered If this happens, try again at a different time. 📊 How is interest calculated? 🔹 Liabilities in cross margin and isolated margin are calculated and deducted separately 🔹 When repaying, interest is paid first, then principal · Interest is calculated once every hour on the hour (based on midnight as reference) 🔹 Interest is deducted once per hour · Interest calculation duration is 10 minutes, and newly generated liability interest during this period is also counted 📝 Example: 🔹 Borrow at 22:55 → Interest calculated and deducted at 23:00 ✅ Interest incurred 🔹 Borrow at 22:55 → Fully repaid at 22:57 ✅ No interest incurred 💸 How to repay borrowed coins and interest? (By mode) ① Contract mode: After borrowing in cross or isolated margin, closing the position automatically repays principal and interest ② Cross-currency margin mode: After closing the position, check liabilities under the 【Assets】 tab (interest included in liabilities). You need to buy back the liability coin in spot trading to repay fully. ⚠️ Note: You cannot switch trading modes before liabilities are fully repaid. ③ Spot mode: Click the 【Repay】 button under the liability coin in the 【Assets】 tab. If the available balance of that coin is insufficient, the platform will prompt you to select other assets to sell for repayment. ⚠️ Large exchanges may cause longer exchange times and greater slippage; be mindful of market volatility. ❓ A common pitfall: Why isn’t the position fully closed after 100% liquidation? 👉 Because there are still liabilities or interest unpaid in the position. 💬 Summary of Part 1 The essence of spot leverage = collateral assets + borrowing coins for trading + timed interest calculation + full repayment to clear the position. Understanding these basic mechanisms is necessary before moving on to risk control and operational steps in the next part. Preview of next part 👉 Leverage tiers, adjusting multiples, cross margin vs isolated margin, margin top-up, forced liquidation rules Although I wrote a lot of concepts, the actual operation is really simple. See the operation diagram below 👇
