Two Market States: $LAB Holding Trend, $PI Quietly Accumulating
Observing the price action of $LAB and $PI on OKX reveals two very typical crypto market phases: one asset is maintaining its trend after strong volatility, while the other is in a prolonged accumulation phase following a deep decline.
For $LAB, the price structure still shows a clear directional bias. After forming a rapid peak around 7.7, the market corrected but did not break its bullish structure. Instead, it continued forming higher lows, rebounding toward the 6+ zone before entering a short-term pullback. This is often a sign of re-accumulation within an uptrend, where profit-taking occurs but capital has not fully exited the market.
In contrast, $PI is showing a “quiet” structure. After a strong downtrend, price is now moving within a tight range around 0.17, with no significant spike in volume. This reflects a temporary balance between buyers and sellers, typically seen in a sideways accumulation zone, where the market waits for new information or fresh liquidity before establishing a new trend.
Placed side by side, the difference is clear:
$LAB: trending structure, reactive pullbacks, still “alive” momentum
$PI: tight range, low volatility, energy being compressed
From a psychological perspective, one represents profit digestion after expansion, while the other represents energy rebuilding after weakness.
In crypto, the quietest phases are often where the next major move is being prepared — the market just hasn’t decided the direction yet.
